Hooray Laura!! I loved the wisdom imparted “it’s not personal”. What a reframing of behavior! Being the psychology nerd that I am, this really spoke to me ♥️♥️
I’ve followed Laura for years on social media 😊 and love learning about my favorite people!!
What a beautiful interview, thank you so much, Jane and Laura. The emphasis on honesty in relationships hits home for me especially. I think we often underestimate how very hard this is to do, especially being new to it in recovery. Laura's work has helped me tremendously in this regard. Thank heavens for brave writers. :)
Laura's relationship with books feels like a lifeline, not just an escape. There’s something so raw and beautiful about that kind of connection to words and to self. Thanks for sharing this—our messiest moments often lead us to the most clarity.
Laura is one of my most favorite people I don’t personally know. I love her writing and honesty. I hope to one day be as brave as she is on the page. Thank you for this interview today, Jane. ❤️
I wish I could upload a photo of my black and white cat!! And that kindness story came at a good time for me. Reminded me that if I want to be helpful in a currently challenging situation, I need to stay neutral and loving.
So true, Kate, isn't it. But not always so easy! Sorry you're in a challenging situation, friend! And I wish you could upload photos of your sweet kitty, as well!

I'm so glad, Mesa! I loved that insight, as well. The older I get, the easier it is for me to actually believe it!! ♥️

Beautifully put, Mo! And I agree!
Loved the anecdote about the lady’s response to the drunkee voicemail. That is real kindness!
I agree!!
I love you questions, Jane.
