I loved the voice in my head when I read her say “oh Jane…“ I could see her posture change, and the energy in the room shifted to some things, so beautiful, tender, and vulnerable. But with such delight. All with those two words.

I'm so glad you said that, David! I felt exactly the same way. It was thrilling, right?

Yes I am regularly amazed at how potent short stories like "oh Jane" can be. Makes me question the need for formula and all the narrative rules. Maybe all we need is an image and a feeling. And thrilling is one of my favorites.

This was lovely to read. So much that I share with Gina! And now I need to read her books and reread the Unbearable Lightness of Being!

Did you ever hide books from your parents is a fabulous question! I didn’t expect Gina’s answer but as a fellow Gen Xer I loved where she took it. So true! Maybe this is why I didn’t have to hide books from my parents either? I enjoyed Gina’s memoir - couldn’t put it down. Thanks for this interview!

Another terrific interview, Jane, probing and provocative questions, as always, with deep, honest and authentic responses from Gina. You two make a great pair! What resonated most with me was being able to live in a state of Grace from so many friends and family, with acceptance and appreciation for who I am, how I got here, and what we're all about. I just keep on bringing whatever I can to each day to try and make things better for everyone in their pursuits and passions for living fully in the present. And that's enough for anyone. Did you ever think about adding a 12th question to your interviews? I keep remembering the wonderful James Lipton and that series, "Actor's Studio." Thanks for being who you are, Jane, and what you bring to this conversation.

Aw, thanks, Gary! I love Gina's answers so much. They're bursting with life! I'm glad you enjoyed them, too. Yes, I agree, bringing what we can and helping where we can. Oh gosh, I could have done 107 question (you know me!). Eleven intuitively seemed like a good number.
