This part got to me Joanna -"Is our collective terror affecting our immune systems?" Very apt ?

This morning, at our local dog park, I mentioned this possibility and everyone nodded and said, "definitely." Very hard times.

Oh sweetie, do not despair!

I so felt your anguish. I'm there too. But that means there are so many more of us to spread the love everywhere!

"Remember those times and places—and there are so many—where people have behaved magnificently; this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction.” (Howard Zinn)

I always love, and look forward to these recommendations! On another note, I whole heartedly agree with your way of teaching memoir! I am currently writing a memoir on my complex and abusive relationship with my ex-husband and this is a question I always ask myself: “What is my intention here? Love, or revenge?” If it wasn’t love, every single time, I wouldn’t be able to continue writing. And as strange as it sounds, I can find plenty of love for the man who once made my life an absolute misery, and gratitude I’m no longer with him. So thank you for that side note that I find very encouraging.
