"But I have worked hard, and continue to work hard, to make choices that align with this kind of life, a very good ordinary every day."

Yes. That's my bucket list, right there.

This is such a great series.

I loved the last comment ! I too am a homebody and catch alot of grief from my friends ( " why don't you want to travel ? Why don't you ....?). Molly captured exactly how I feel in this regard. I'm newly retired and just want to live in my everyday life.

Oooh, that's lovely! I completely understand!

The highlight for me of this interview was the praise and gratitude Molly gave to her mother for moving to be nearby. Grandparents being close by can be a great boon to all three generations.

So delighted to see one of my favorite authors alongside my favorite author/interviewer! Molly, my copy of A Homemade Life is dog-eared as hell, covered in stains, with tons of loose pages trying to escape. Jimmy’s Big Pink Cookies have been a staple in our house for well over a decade of celebrations, right alongside the no-excuses-required average day. I’m halfway through The Fixed Stars and am loving getting to know you more through it. Thanks for all of it, Molly. ❤️

This was a lovely read from start to finish! As a 72 yr old grandma who left NY and moved to Portland, OR to be near my son and grandsons, I was teary eyed reading about your wonderful Mom. My days with my family are the best very good ordinary loving days I could ever have dreamed of! 🥰🥰. Generosity sure does lead to abundance!
