Yesterday I replayed a workshop in which Sue delivered relentlessly practical advice at top speed. Now here she is, my breakfast companion, looking back on her toddler self declaiming “I Have a Little Shadow.” Maybe it’s because I was a similar child that I love this image. A long creative life gives the writer a multitude of shadows to inhabit and explore. Thank you for this glimpse of the private Sue and for launching this new series.
Loved Sue's memoir AS GOOD AS YOUR WORD. I went to a liberal Catholic School (private) much like Sue's high school which really resonated with me and I Identified with. Sorry to hear her book sales are low because I think her books are terrific and she's an ace writer. Julie E.
